stefanie brockhaus andy wolff
Stefanie Brockhaus was born in Munich on 19 May 1977.
At the age of 20 she moved to London where she spent six years. In 2002 she graduated from London University of the Arts with a BA in Film and Television.
Her first short film JAM won the Lux Award for Best Experimental Film at the ICA.
She set up a company (www.familyfilms.de) and continued her film studies at Munich University of Television and Film.

Stefanie's first feature documentary ON THE OTHER SIDE OF LIFE, which she co-directed with Andy Wolff, had its US premiere 2010 at SXSW film festival. It won main feature awards at Milan, Ronda and Camden International Film Festivals.
The same year Stefanie and Andy also won two emerging director awards.

  Andy Wolff was born in Munich on 8 October 1978.
He became a professional windsurfer at the age of 15. He finished second in 1998 Red Bull King of the Lake PWA Worldcup, eliminating two world champions, Jason Polakow and Josh Stone. He finished top ten in several PWA Waveriding Worldcups.
After ten years of competing on the Windsurfers' World Tour Andy put an end to his career as an athlete. He started working as an assistant on film sets in Germany and France. 2005 he started studying at USC's graduate School of Cinematic Arts in Los Angeles.

Andy's second feature documentary
THE CAPTAIN AND HIS PIRATE was released in 2013. It won four awards on international film festivals in Leipzig, Saarbruecken, Munich and Brussels. It was nominated among the eight best feature documentaries in Europe for the Doc Alliance award which was presented during the Cannes Film Festival 2013.
